CMAK Foundation has eyes on the prize

The Chase Michael Anthony Kowalski (CMAK) Sandy Hook Memorial Foundation, established in honor of a Sandy Hook shooting victim, is competing for prize money of up to $25,000 as part of Fairfield County Giving Day on Friday.

The foundation aims to use the money raised to support CMAK Foundation programs including the expansion of the Race4Chase Kid’s Triathlon Program, which is expected to help train 100 children, ages six to 12, to complete in a triathlon this summer.

Fairfield County Giving Day takes place Friday, March 7 from midnight to 11:59 p.m. — a 24 hour period of online giving that aims to raise more than $1 million for hundreds of local nonprofit organizations. Donations can be made online at fcgives.org. All major credit cards are accepted.

Using this secure website, individuals can search for their favorite local nonprofits and make donations to support their work. Each donation, whatever the size, will help the nonprofits compete for grants ranging from $500 to $25,000.

To support the CMAK Sandy Hook Memorial Foundation, visit fcgives.org and choose CMAK.
