The Monroe Parks and Recreation Department has 2013 summer job applications available. Applications will be accepted now through Friday, March 28.
All applicants must be at least 16 years old by May 1, 2013 to be eligible for employment. All lifeguard applicants must attach a copy of all pertinent certifications or the application will not be accepted.
The following positions are available to be applied for at this time:
Admissions monitor, at $9.25 an hour to $12 an hour
Seasonal park security/boat ramp attendant, at $10 an hour to $12.75 an hour
Seasonal park maintainers:
Maintainer III, at $12.25 an hour to $15.25 an hour
Maintainer II, at $9.75 an hour to $12.50 an hour
Maintainer I, at $9.50 an hour to $10.25 an hour
Lifeguard III, at $11.25 an hour to $13.75 an hour
Lifeguard II, at $10.50 an hour to $13.25 an hour
Lifeguard I, at $10 an hour to $11 an hour
Swim instructors (years as WSI), at $17.50 an hour to $25.50 an hour
$18 an hour to $20 an hour
Summer Fun Days:
Counselors, at $8.25 an hour to $10.75 an hour
Job descriptions for all positions are posted in the Parks and Recreation Department office, now located in the Town Hall land-use wing. Job applications can be obtained at the office Monday to Thursday from 8:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m., and Friday from 8:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Applications also can be downloaded from monroerec.org.
