David James of Monroe has been named to the dean’s list for the fall 2012 semester at Worcester Polytechnic Institute in Massachusetts. He is a sophomore majoring in electrical and computer engineering.
Victoria Sheridan of Monroe was named to the dean’s list for fall 2012 semester at the University of Rhode Island and was also recently welcomed into the National Society of Collegiate Scholars. She is the daughter of Suzanne and Christopher Sheridan of Monroe.

Michael Nicolett of Monroe has been named to the dean’s list for the fall 2012 semester at James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Va. Nicolett is a senior, whose major is accounting.
Sarah Scinto of Monroe, a student at King’s College in Pennsylvania, is interning this semester with The Citizens’ Voice, a newspaper in Wilkes-Barre, Pa. A senior professional writing major with a minor in mass communications, Scinto previously interned with The Newtown Bee in Connecticut. She is the daughter of Steve and Mary Scinto.
She is the president of the King’s College’s chapter of Sigma Tau Delta, an international English honor society; and a member of Delta Epsilon Sigma, a national honor society for Catholic colleges. In addition, Scinto is the program director of 88.5 WRKC, the college radio station; editor-in-chief of The Scop, the literary and fine arts magazine at King’s; and founder and president of Eyes on Africa, King’s Invisible Children organization.
