Masuk High’s Otton Velez finished fourth in the 160-pound weight class, while Sal Longo was fifth at 195, at the Class L state wrestling tournament at Bristol Central High on Saturday night.
Velez dropped a 9-1 major decision to Fitch-Groton’s Jordan Kenyon in a third-place bout, while Longo defeated Thomas Mcilveen, 14-2, to take fifth.
Masuk finished 20th overall with 36 points, while New Milford won the team title with 192.5 points. Fairfield Warde was second with 189 points.
