Commentary: Kudos to the Monroe Highway Department on snow removal during big storm

Now that the Blizzard of 2013 is behind us, Jim Robinson and his highly skilled employees of the Monroe Highway Department should be congratulated for the exceptional job they did during, and immediately after, the storm.

I’ve traveled through many of our surrounding towns and there is no comparison between our roads and their roads.

Yes, I was one of those people who would just finish opening up my driveway to the road when a town truck (who I swear was hiding up the street) would come down and push more snow in the spot I just cleared, but they’re just doing their job.

So to Jim and the entire Highway Department, thank you.
