Here are some of the events happening at Fawn Hollow Elementary School:
Again this year, the Fawn Hollow community will be participating in the Big Read program during March. All students, families, teachers and staff will be reading the same book together throughout the month. The title of the book is kept a surprise, with clues leading up to the big reveal at a school assembly on March 1.
This annual follies variety show features the talents of Fawn Hollow students in grades three through five. Even some teachers get in on the act and join the show. This year’s theme is “Let’s Get Wild,” and it will be held on March 2 at 7 p.m. (doors open at 6:45 pm) at the Masuk High School auditorium.
Family movie night
On Friday, March 8, the PTO will be offering a family movie night free of charge to all Fawn Hollow families. Doors open at 6:15 p.m., with the movie beginning at 6:45 p.m. in the All Purpose Room. We will be showing Madagascar 3.
A mother/daughter Zumba night will be on March 15 from 6:45-8:30 p.m. at World Fitness, 380 Monroe Turnpike. The night featurs dancing, contests and more.
Kids With A Cause
The new club at school, “Kids With A Cause,” is led by several teachers, and focuses on community service projects throughout the year. They are currently holding an animal photo contest through March 22. Students and staff are invited to enter their pet photos with the $1 per photo entrance fee being donated to the Monroe Animal Shelter. The contest winners will be announced on March 28.
The annual PTO bingo night will be April 5. The Fawn Hollow community comes together for some games of bingo. There is also a raffle and silent auction to raise funds for the PTO during the event.
