In this 1968 photo, below, Masuk chemistry teacher Ralph De Gruttolla conducts a mini-science course for middle school students.

Chalk Hill Middle School opened in 1969, and in 1968 the elementary schools were overcrowded so some middle school students attended classes in a separate wing at Masuk.
