About The Monroe Courier

The Monroe Courier was founded in 1962 by Richard M. Diamond of the Diamond Publishing Company, Trumbull, CT.  It was the second paper founded by Diamond, after the Trumbull Times in 1959.

The Courier is now part of Hersam Acorn Newspapers. A traditional and new media firm, which includes printing facilities and local papers, specialty publications and websites in more than 20 communities in southwestern Connecticut, Lewisboro, N.Y., and Vermont. This gives our readers easy access to regional news and events as well as exposure to advertisers from across the region.

The Monroe Courier newsroom is at 1000 Bridgeport Avenue, Shelton, CT 06484. It can be reached at 203-926-2080.
