Cornell-Carr Vice President and CEO Philip H. Gangnath showed U.S. Rep. Jim Himes an 800-pound window made for an aircraft carrier.

U.S. Rep Jim Himes visited marine window and door manufacturer Cornell-Carr, 626 Main Street on Wednesday, Aug. 21.

“Meeting with the men and women at Cornell-Carr Company I learned how the U.S. Navy aircraft carrier program significantly impacts jobs and businesses in southwestern Connecticut. “These skilled jobs are vital to our national security and region’s economy,” Himes said.

“Today we got to show Congressman Himes how aircraft carrier funding helps to sustain our business and skilled workforce,” Gangnath said. “Our employees are very proud of the work they do for the U.S. Navy, and this was an opportunity for us to show Congressman Himes what we are all about.”
