Order your brick for Monroe’s Veterans’ Memorial

American Legion Post 176 is accepting orders for commemorative bricks for the Monroe Veterans’ Memorial located in front of the Monroe Town Hall, 7 Fan Hill Road.

People may dedicate an engraved brick to any past, present or future (those still on active duty) veteran to show gratitude for service to our country. Brick orders will be accepted for all veterans, not just for Post 176 and American Legion members.

“We want to honor and include all U.S. Veterans, both male and female from all branches of our military,” said Post 176 Senior Vice Commander Jan Larsen. “Please pay a visit to the Monroe Veterans’ Memorial the next time you are at the Monroe Town Hall. It is beautiful even in winter.”

A standard 4×8 brick costs $65 and an oversized 8×8 brick costs $120. There are already hundreds of bricks installed, but while bricks are still available, space is limited. Despite the winter weather, there are already bricks on order which will be installed by American Legion Post 176 in the spring or as soon as the weather allows

Those interested in ordering a brick should place the order soon, because brick orders are done in batches. Obtain a brick order form by calling Commemorative Brick Chairman Jan Larsen at (203) 268-9594 or via email at [email protected] Commemorative brick order forms are also online at the Post 176 website: www.swpost176.org. Order forms will also be available soon in the Monroe Town Hall foyer.

American Legion Post 176 reserves the rights to editing, locating and relocating all bricks. All bricks become the property of Post 176.
