Monroe police log: May 25-June 3

The Monroe Police Department responded to 37 alarms, 36 medical emergencies and one unknown 911 call between May 25 and June 3.

Friday, May 25

2:24 p.m. — Police responded to as two-vehicle accident on Barn Hill Road near East Village Road. No injuries were reported.

3:18 p.m. — Police responded to a two-vehicle accident on Route 25 near Mill Street. No injuries were reported.

4:06 p.m. — Police responded to a two-vehicle accident on Wheeler Road. No injuries were reported.

4:53 p.m. — Police responded to a two-vehicle accident on Turkey Roost Road. No injuries were reported.

Saturday, May 26

1:59 p.m. — Police responded to a two-vehicle accident on Route 25. No injuries were reported.

Sunday, May 27

8:32 a.m. — An Elm Street resident reported that someone damaged the rear window on her vehicle sometime overnight. Police are investigating the incident.

8:27 p.m. — A Secret Hollow Road resident reported that someone took a package from at her front door sometime between Friday and Sunday evening. Police are investigating this reported larceny.

Tuesday, May 29

7:31 a.m. — Police are investigating the reported theft of a motor vehicle from a Turkey Roost Road driveway sometime overnight. The owner told police there could have been a pair of spare keys in the vehicle at the time of the theft. Police are investigating the report.

9:46 a.m. — A Christianna Drive resident reported that someone entered her vehicle sometime overnight and stole a credit card. Police are investigating the incident.

1:38 p.m. — A Christianna Drive resident reported that his vehicle was entered sometime overnight and phone chargers were stolen. Police are investigating the incident.

2:38 p.m. — Police responded to a two-vehicle accident on Route 25 near Purdy Hill Road. No injuries were reported.

3:11 p.m. — Edith Wheeler Memorial Library personnel reported that 82 audiobooks have gone missing over the past fiscal year. Library personnel told police it is unknown if the audiobooks are being stolen or not. Police are investigating the situation.

Wednesday, May 30

3:13 p.m. — An employee at Lakeside Wine & Liquor reported that an individual stole a bottle of vodka and ran out of the store and into the woods behind the building. The individual was described as a tall, white male with short blond hair and tattoos on his arms, wearing grey shorts and a t-shirt. Police are investigating the incident.

7:23 p.m. — A one-vehicle accident led to the arrest of the driver for drunk driving. Susanne F. O’Meara, 50, of Hawthorne Drive, Monroe, was arrested for driving under the influence. Police were called to a report of a white sport utility vehicle striking a telephone pole, breaking the pole, on Fan Hill Road. Police said O’Meara failed a field sobriety test. She posted a $500 bond and is scheduled to appear in Bridgeport Superior Court on June 18.

Thursday, May 31

4:05 p.m. — Police responded to a two-vehicle accident in a parking lot off Route 111. No injuries were reported.

Friday, June 1

7:06 a.m. — Police responded to a two-vehicle accident on Route 111 near Church Street. No injuries were reported.

6:50 p.m. — Police responded to a two-vehicle accident on Turkey Roost Road near Lynn Drive. One of the vehicles truck a tree, the other a stone wall on a Turkey Roost Road home, said police. Only minor injuries were reported.

6:53 p.m. — Police responded to a three-vehicle accident on Route 25 near Roberto’s. No injuries were reported.

Sunday, June 3

10:05 a.m. — Police responded to a two-vehicle accident on Cutlers Farm Road, in front of the overflow lot for Wolfe Park. No injuries were reported.

12:51 p.m. — Police responded to a two-vehicle accident on Route 111 near Elm Street. No injuries were reported.
