Field hockey: Cancer benefit game set for Tuesday

The Masuk High field hockey team will hold a fundraiser Cancer Benefit game on Tuesday, when the Panthers host Weston High.

The ceremony starts 6:45 p.m., before the a 7 p.m. kickoff.

This year’s game is in honor of  and will be played for two special ladies:

Laura Harlacker-Schrader, a Masuk alumni and four-year field hockey player, who passed away seven months ago in Newtown at the age of 46, from a three-year battle with brain cancer.

Linda Novitzky, the mother of the Masuk varsity field hockey team coach Jaclyn Flynn — who passed away from brain cancer.
